Hall Acres is situated in a nationally recognised area of outstanding natural beauty. The hacking available to our liveries is widely renowned and is without doubt the best available in the surrounding area. It is practically endless and is absolutely second to none.
We'll be pleased to accompany you on a walk, on foot, to give a just small taste of what is available and our existing liveries will be only to happy to have some new company.
Whether it is an easy summers evening amble, some fast or serious hill work you are looking for, it is all right on our doorstep. We have direct access to designated bridleways and our own long woodland ride. Local Maps are also on display in the tack room clearly depicting routes and the surrounding area.
Also, we are within easy reach of the Chiltern Ridgeway which offers endless opportunities.
The Ridgeway is a National Trail of approximately 87 miles through ancient landscapes. Over rolling, open downland to the west of the River Thames, and through secluded valleys and woods in The Chilterns to the east, following the same route used since prehistoric times by travellers, herdsmen and soldiers.
We refer to our middle field as the jumping field or schooling ground. This is Approximately 10 acres in size and is long and large enough to have successfully exercised racehorses.
The ground conditions and drainage capabilities of this area are fantastic and it is available for use year round (except days of extreme winter weather). There are a number of different style fences and obstacles also available for use and during the summer we often cut tracks and an enclosed riding area into the field.
We have also recently obtained permission to create an all weather round pen and we aim to install this during 2010.
Whether is a long gentle hack, jumping practice or serious fitness training your horse and you require, we have the facilities to suit.
Hall Acres are able to offer a basic transport service for our own clients and owners from outside of the yard.
We have the services of an excellent lightweight jockey who is a fully qualified BHS AI instructor and also an "A" rider in pony club. She is available to exercise any horses on livery as required, and can also offer lessons on a private basis.
